August 1977 was spent practicing full-time. It was also at this time that the band attended "Punk City", a party staged at Armory Square featuring the "Cuban Heels", Syracuse's first punk band. Paul brought his camera to take pictures of the band and was heard to loudly complain "I forgot my FLASHCUBES, I forgot my FLASHCUBES". Gary realized that this would make a perfect name for the band.

Tommy, Gary, and Arty realize that the "punk" image that helped get them noticed when they were starting out is now holding them back. To distance themselves from this image, Paul Armstrong is fired and replaced with Mick Walker. Paul forms The Most with girlfriend Dian Zain. At their first gig Paul dedicates "Sold Your Heart" to his former bandmates.
